Chef

Assisting the Head Chef and the existing brigade to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen, including the preparation, cooking and presentation of all food dishes.

Maintaining consistency in the preparation and presentation of all food items in accordance with standard recipes using the finest local ingredients.

Assisting with stock controls, delivery management and regular stocktaking.

Storing unused food properly to minimise waste and preserve quality.

Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all kitchen equipment, counter tops and shelves.

Assisting in the development and planning of all menus when required.

Adhering to all policies and standard operating procedures including, health & safety regulations, food hygiene and COVID-19 sanitisation protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably working in a 4 star hotel or restaurant establishment as part of a fast-moving and performance driven team.

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

Rosette experience is not essential but would be advantageous.

Strong interpersonal and coaching skill sets with the ability and desire to help motivate the team.

A passion for achieving culinary excellence and a commitment to self-development.
